Hello, my name is Tiffany R. Sanders and I am the Youth Engagement Specialist for Yakima Valley System of Care. This is the section where we…
- Empower all youth of Yakima County to have a voice and an impact on the community in which they live so they can feel accepted, invested, and supported in creating positive changes.
- We focus on leadership, mentoring, volunteering, and educating our community from the youth perspective.
- Our hope is to create and develop relationships within the community and collaborate with local business owners to bring events to the community that inspire awareness and understanding within our community.
My job is the best because I get to be the champion of our youth team, their biggest supporter and cheerleader. I am often out in the community building relationships and connections with community partners. I am always doing outreach and delivering the message of the System of Care philosophy change from the perspective of the youth in our county.

Who are we?
We are a diverse group of youth from the community ranging from the ages of 14-21? That come together to break down barriers and stigma regarding the daily trials and tribulations that young people go through. We are young leaders that want to invest in our community and be the voice of our peers that are unable to speak for themselves at this time. Change agents that want to elevate youth voice to create system change.
How do I get involved?
We meet the 1st and the 3rd Sunday of every month at the System of Care office, unless otherwise posted on website. Join us and make a commitment to the team and the Yakima Valley System of Care to become an advocate work toward building a community collaborative of services to better serve youth and families with significant mental health and wellness needs.
