"Family Voice" Team

This team consists of family members (as defined by the family) and caregivers of youth with emotional and behavioral challenges. They provide strong family guided input for changes to policy, practice and access to services. Families will be able to share experiences and concerns through participating in workgroups, surveys, or other program-supported activities. Family leaders also help develop recommendations and implementation methods for system and service change. Create a family driven, youth guided public awareness campaign and help develop family and caregivers’ support services.

 Definition of Family-Driven Care

Family-driven means families have a primary decision making role in the care of their own children as well as the policies and procedures governing care for all children in their community, state, tribe, territory and nation.
